Description
A rare Bourbon to honor the end of the Prohibition era.
George Remus Bourbon is named after a legendary Whiskey-man who operated on both sides of the law during Prohibition. George Remus a.k.a. “King of the Bootleggers” was many things. He was a lawyer, a record-setting swimmer, but most famously, he was a successful bootlegger who created one of the most intricate bootlegging operations of the Prohibition era. Today, George Remus Bourbons are owned by and produced in the historicRoss & Squibb Distillery.
Remus Repeal Reserve Series V is the fifth addition to the award-winning Remus Repeal Reserve collection of their special and rare Bourbon casks. Crafted from a blend of five Bourbons aged in new oak casks since 2005—2008, this edition pays an homage to the repeal of the Prohibition on the wonderful day that was December 5, 1933. Released just in time for National Bourbon Month, this rare blend brings you an intriguing plethora of flavors, including notes of dried fruit, maple syrup, roasted nuts, rich toffee, vanilla, glazed nuts, and oak. Bottled at 100 proof, it was awarded 98 points by the Tasting Panel Magazine.
