Du Nord Mixed Blood Blended Whiskey

A layered Bourbon blend of in-house and sourced Spirits that tickles the palate.

Just off Route 55 on the south side of Minneapolis, east of the Mississippi River site Du Nord Craft Spirits. Chris Montana and his wife Shanelle had careers in law and politics when they wisely decided to put all that behind them and distill Spirits. This epiphany took root in 2013 and since then this happy family has grown their local business into a thriving micro-enterprise with deep community roots and charitable leanings. They have a tidy range of five Whiskeys and Liqueurs steeped in local flare.

Du Nord Mixed Blood Blended Whiskey is a blend of in-house, high-rye Bourbon with several sourced Whiskeys that punch up the flavor profile. The official age statement is two year-old and it’s bottled at 40% ABV. Up until now it has been nearly impossible to get outside of Minnesota. The profile is sweet up front with a party of spice in the back.

Smartass Corner:
The name “Du Norde” is a reference to the state motto of Minnesota — L’étoile du Nord, which translates from French as “The North Star.” The land where Minneapolis is today was a part of the Louisiana Purchase from France in 1803.
