Description
Part of Woodford Reserve’s Master’s Collection, which features Whiskey purely from the copper pot stills of the historic distillery in Versailles, this 7-year-old Bourbon has spent 10 months soaking up the local Californian terroir of the Russian River Walley inside the Sonoma-Cutrer Pinot Noir barrels.
The red berries and blackberry notes typical of the Sonoma-Curter terroir, an ideal fit and a natural evolution for a winery grounded in Burgundian winemaking tradition, pairs extremely well with the strong oak and cocoa notes of the Bourbon to create a match made in Wine-haven.
Oh, and by the way: the collaboration also bore a Woodford Reserve barrel-finished Pinot Noir if you want to make an evening out of it.
