The GlenAllachie 15 Year Old

Hardcore work dedication resulting in a worthy core range addition. Purchased, sold, mothballed, and opened again four times — it’s been a pretty rocky ride for the 1967-opened The GlenAllachie Distillery.

But it was always meant to be: in 2017 Master Distiller Billy Walker and partners merged this under-utilized distiller gem with a few other Whisky brands to form The GlenAllachie Distillers Company Limited. With a new wind in their sails, Walker and Co. dished out a new core range of four Single Malt Whiskies in the Speyside style.

A 2019 addition to the GlenAllachie core range, this 15 Year Old Single Malt has been worked on and perfected by the Master Distiller Billy Walker since day one. That’s what we call dedication!

The Whisky was treated to a finishing period in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry puncheons and hogsheads. To retain this rich, full flavor, it was bottled at Cask Strength of 46% ABV (90 Proof).

Praised as the jewel in their crown, Walker described this expression as having an “exceptional balance of the distillery’s spirit and the influence of the Sherry casks used during maturation.” We couldn’t agree more.
