Description
Feel like a one-percenter with every sip.
In the picturesque hills of Speyside, in the shadows of the towering Balvenie Castle, there’s a prestigious distillery that produces breathtaking Spirits. Using the cleanest water and their own barley, the Balvenie distillery employs unique state-of-the-art stills called Balvenie Bowls, and creates some of the most unique and exclusive Whiskies on the market. And it’s the stills that make all the difference. Due to their special shape, vapors mix before they enter the head.
That’s where the Balvenie 21 Year Old PortWood was also made, but since the Balvenie guys and gals don’t settle for ordinary, they asked their own cooper Ian McDonald to craft traditional oak casks.
The Spirit is aged for at least 21 years and inherits lovely notes of soft oak, honey and caramel. Then, another extra-mile thing happens: the Scotch is matured in barrels that used to house Port Wine. No wonder the lavish fruity aromas and marzipan flavors won the Whisky the Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2009 and 2012.
Deluxe, delightful, divine.
