Description
If you haven’t heard of Buffalo Trace Distillery, do you live under a Whiskey-proofed rock? Whiskey has been made on this exact site in Frankfort, Kentucky for more than 200 years. The first distillery operation that can be continuously traced to Buffalo Trace was started in 1812 by Harrison Blanton and yes, it has been bought and sold many times but Sazerac has owned the property since 1992. Today, this is the flagship distillery for New Orleans-based Sazerac.
Why is Rock Hill Farms such a special offering? Well, Washingtonian Magazine seems to think this is “The World’s Greatest Bourbon. There are plenty of great Bourbons out there but we do agree this one is special. It’s named for a stretch of rich farmland along the Kentucky River and sipping on this fine single barrel Bourbon takes us to the lush and rolling Kentucky landscape if we only close our eyes.
