Description
Irish Distillers might be a subsidiary of a Pernod Ricard but there’s nothing French about them. Loyal to their time-tested methods and practices, they make the world’s most popular Irish Whiskeys, including the famous Jameson, Powers, Paddy, Redbreast, Green Spot, and Midleton Very Rare Whiskeys along with Huzzar Vodka and Cork Dry Gin.
Every year, the Master Distiller peruses the inventory and selects the best liquid for Midleton Very Rare release. This tradition began with legendary Barry Crockett in 1984. Midleton Very Rare Irish Whiskey 2020 is the last creation by his successor, Brain Nation that has been at this position for the last 23 years. For his adieu, he selected Whiskeys aged 13-35 years from lightly charred ex-Bourbon American oak casks. There’s more pot still Whiskey than in the previous vintages and more refill barrels. Nation’s goodbye tastes like nutmeg, orange peel, and spicy charred oak.
