Description
Ladyburn was a short-lived distillery, constructed from a set of pot stills by William Grant & Sons in the corner of their Girvan grain complex in 1966. Only operational for 9 years (from 1966 to 1975), it was intended to provide malt Whisky for blending2, before the needs of the Girvan distillery expaned and Ladyburn was dismantled—thus making it one of Scotland’s shortest-lived Single Malts. Needless to say, the official and independent bottlings of Ladyburn are incredibily rare and highly-elusive.
This 12 YO Ladyburn offering is estimated to have been bottled in the 1980s and is most certainly a Whisky you’ll rarely have a chance to encounter again.
