Description
Prohibition era Rye.
Journeyman Distillery is located in a 19th century corset and buggy whip factory in Three Oaks, Michigan. E.K. Warren, a hardcore prohibitionist in his time founded the company back in 1883 and the building where bottles are distilled, aged and bottled all under one roof hasn’t changed much. Journeyman focuses on distilling handcrafted, organic spirits, from Gin, Vodka to all kinds of Whiskeys.
Last Feather Rye is one of the few wheat heavy rye whiskies on the market; a beautiful balance of the spice of rye and sweetness of wheat – 60% organic rye + 40% organic wheat. One of three rye whiskies produced at Journeyman to have been served a cease & desist for its original name. The name Last Feather was adorned to this whiskey after that unfortunate bout with lawyers as we were left with nothing more than the “Last Feather” of its original name. Every bottle now bares a “RR” as a small tip of the cap back to our original name never to be whispered aloud.
Pssst… Only 800 bottles of this first batch out there!
