Description
A former biochemist and his wife founded High West in the middle 2000s. They picked Park City for Whiskey’s (largely unknown) history and because of David Perkins’, High West founder’s, love for the American West. High West is also the first legal Utah distillery since 1870, and in 2016 it was Whisky Advocate named it ‘Distiller of the Year.’
What’s about to go down on your palate is an all-American treat. The dream at hand is a unique blend of straight Bourbons and straight Ryes finished in the Prisoner’s Red Blend Wine barrels. Prisoner Red Blend wine is inspired by Italian wine-making pioneers of Napa Valley and is a layered treat.
The final product is an attractive, lush, and decadent Whiskey. It’s suggested to enjoy this one neat to appreciate the combo of flavors fully. Expect dried fruit, fruity soda, spice, sweet hints of creme brulee, citrus, and a touch of oak on the palate. The bottle is beautiful, the story is heart-warming, and the Whiskey is delicious. Try it now!
