Description
One of Buffalo Trace’s forefathers was George T. Stagg, who turned the old distillery into one of the most premium ones with E.H. Taylor, the Bourbon legend of the 1800s. Today, Stagg is celebrated with a sought-after yearly release of unfiltered and uncut Bourbon bearing his name.
The 2019 release is a 116.9 Proof delight made in the spring of 2004 and bottled in the fall of 2019. It spent 15 years and 3 months in #4 charred new American oak (Warehouses C, H, K, Q, and I). The signature cherries, vanilla, and caramel are joined by notes of mint, toasted oak, and a fabulous floral undertone. The 2020 Ultimate Spirits Competition awarded it with 97 points! Genuine treasure, this one is.
