Description
A traditional Rye with a tasty Vermouth twist.
Herman Mihalich’s dad wore a hat every day. It’s one of his fondest memories of his father. Those hats were made at the famous Stetson Hat Factory from their hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Herman founded Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey in the nearby town of Bristol where they handcraft their signature style of American Rye Whiskey. Rye is all they do, but it is available in two different proofs of aged Whiskey, two wood-finished spirits, an un-aged White Rye, and in special editions.
Dad’s Hat Vermouth Finished Rye Whiskey is first aged in charred white oak casks for up to a year. Then, this beautifully made traditional Rye is finished in Vya Vermouth barrels for an extra 3-4 months. The barrels come from the Quady Winery in California and their Vermouth is crafted from a blend of 17 different herbs of spices. The final result? Simply delicious with notes of sweet citrus, berries and poached pears that balance the rye, the cinnamon undertones, and spicy grains. Bottled by hand, this is a great traditional Rye with a tasty twist.
