Description
A different kind of craft rye.
Becky and Scott Harris founded Catoctin Creek Distillery in 2009 in the back-woods of Purcellville, Virginia. Scott worked in software and Becky was a chemical engineer. It was Becky’s passion for the fermentation and distillation process that brought this couple out of corporate American and into your liquor cabinet. From their little distillery by the creek they produce a range of ten Spirits, including Rye Whiskies, Brandy, Gin, and a handful of other drams.
A rabble-rouser is essentially someone who intentds to stir things up. Catoctin Creek Rabble Rouser Bottled In Bond Rye Whisky definitely has a fitting name. It’s made form 100% rye and bottled in bond, which makes it different from the Roundstone Rye that showcases the same mash bill. The Rabble Rouser is distilled at a lower proof, which means it enables all the earthy notes from the grain that we adore to really shine through. Aged for 4 years, it’s one of the oldest craft Whiskeys in the U.S. at the moment. Definitely worth a place in your home bar.
